Let’s set the scene.

You just finished up a long Monday at the office. You walk to your car in a dark and deserted parking lot. Damn daylight savings. As you reverse out of your space, your mind is solely on that dinner waiting for you at home.

Ah, steak and sweet potatoes. Your favorite. But then…

BAM! [Unfortunately, not Emeril’s kind either…]

You just backed up into a parked car. After the mandatory forehead smack, you assess the damage to find a decent amount to the left rear bumper. Shit!

At this moment, not a soul is around. No one has seen the incident. Only you.

You have a decision to make.

1. Hit and run. High tail it out of there. If a tree falls in the woods, does it make noise?

2. Fess up. Place your contact and insurance info on the windshield or wait for the owner to return.

Yup, that was me just a few days ago.

I decided to stick around and man up to my stupid mistake. I was not met with an angry vehicle owner. On the contrary, this man was gracious that I hadn’t gone with decision #1. He valued my honesty.

So what does this have to do with YOU?

The real decision you need to make, day in and day out, is:

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN NO ONE IS WATCHING?

When it’s midnight and you have that sweet tooth craving…

Option 1. You raid the kitchen and fridge to satisfy your hunger and totally break your diet?

Option 2. You just grab a glass of water and win the daily diet battle.

When it’s an open, challenge set of AMRAP (as many reps as possible)…

Option 1. You half ass it and give the minimum.

Option 2. You go balls out and truly leave it all on the table.

It’s your last set of high intensity intervals

Option 1. You dog it just to finish.

Option 2. You bump up the speed even more. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish bro.

It all comes down to CHARACTER and INTEGRITY.

Actions speak louder than words. Don’t be the hack that is known to cut corners.

Take pride in not only your work, but every single thing you do.

When you lay your head down on your cold pillow, you will have to go to sleep with the person you are.

When you arise in the morning, you will have to face that man in the mirror.

When no one is watching, your actions will define you as a individual.
