We like to say our pops (yes, the “father of strength” himself) is a meat and potatoes type of guy.

Let’s put it this way. If he could have anything in this world, his last meal would be a burger with a perfect bun accompanied by an ice cold Corona.

He’s simple. He knows what he likes and what gets the job done.

Just like any good training program, you are always going to have your meat and potatoes.

Whether it’s the powerlifting big 3, olympic weightlifting, your own bodyweight, or slinging around some iron with kettlebells, each of these training methodologies has it’s own version of strength training meat and potatoes.

Your program knows this type of animal flesh and starch as…

  • Bench Press, Squat and Deadlift
  • Snatch, Clean and Jerk
  • Push-Up, Pull-Up, and Burpees
  • Kettlebell Swing, Goblet Squat, and Turkish Get Up

No matter the training style or implement you so fancy, there are set of foundational movements that will cover the basis to your improved performance and body transformation. As you’ve probably read or have implemented in the past or present, this is a great method for success.

Why? Because it works. And it does NOT need to be complicated.

We are always in the search of simplifying our lives.

A little salt and pepper is all you need for an amazing steak.
A tight fitting, cotton soft tee is the perfect outfit for nearly every day.

BUT…

Sometimes you need a little something more.

Something to add a little variety. To SPICE things up.

Just like how the missionary always works but sometimes you need to celebrate hump day by switching it up.

Listen, we LOVE your traditional vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream cone with sprinkles like the rest of them. BUT every once in awhile, you need to try that monthly special at Carvel or Salt & Straw. A flavor that satisfies your craving for something new, exciting, and intriguing.

With that in mind, we proudly introduce our new project…

MORE THAN MEAT & POTATOES

You could call this is the kama sutra of training. A weekly YouTube video series dedicated to new exercises, their execution, and training methods. There are no limitations.

There are NO RULES.

But there is a PURPOSE.

Each video and its concept presented is given to better improve YOUR fitness journey in some way, shape, or form.

In Episode #1, Eric introduces a training method derived (OK…”borrowed”) from Tim Ferriss in his 4 Hour Body book.

TOTAL REPETITION SETS.
